First of all… How we measure
A characteristic of vertical blinds is that they are ideal for applications with great height.
When the window has a recess:
- We measure the width inside the recess and subtract a small gap from each side of 0.5-1cm, or more if there is a reason (e.g., hole for cables).
- We measure the height inside the recess and subtract from the bottom (usually around 2-3cm) so the blinds or the chain connecting them do not touch the surface.
These are the final dimensions needed for the construction of the vertical blinds.
For a simple window:
- We add 5-10cm on each side to the width of the window for adequate overlap.
- We add 5-10cm to the top of the window height for the blinds’ supports. WARNING: Make sure there are no embedded cables at the desired height.
- We usually add 5-10cm at the bottom of the window, taking into account any obstacles (e.g., radiator).
If you have an inward-opening window and do not want the blinds to obstruct the opening, calculate additional extra width on that side.
The same applies to balcony doors as for simple windows:
- We subtract 2-3cm from the bottom so the blinds do not touch the floor.
Direction of the Blinds:
- The blinds gather on the opposite side of the window handle.
- We also place the control on the same side.
Notes:
- The shade on the screen may differ from that of the fabric.
- A free blind sample is available for confirmation of your choice.
- They offer controlled light flow.
- Made from synthetic polyester material with partial blackout.
- The mechanism and components are in white color.
Vertical blinds provide excellent light control and privacy in home spaces. They are durable and easy to maintain, making them a practical choice for both home and workplace.
