The Zebra RFD40 Sled is a portable UHF RFID cradle designed for use with Zebra handheld computers, specifically adapted for the TC22 and TC27 models using the ADP-RFD40-TC2X-2E adapter. It is part of the RFD40 family (Standard, Premium, Premium Plus) and offers very high tag read rates (up to 1,300+ tags/second), improved ergonomics and battery capacity compared to previous cradles, as well as a rugged design (1.5-meter drop to concrete). The Premium and Premium Plus models add advanced connectivity (support for Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6), and the Premium Plus model includes a 1D/2D barcode scanner. The MPN adapter ADP-RFD40-TC2X-2E mounts the TC22/TC27 onto the cradle and enables wireless communication; Bluetooth connectivity requires RFD40 Premium or Premium Plus hardware.
