Vertical Blinds - Vertical Curtains
How We Measure
A characteristic of vertical blinds is that they are ideal for high applications.
- When the window has a recess, we measure the full width inside the recess and subtract a small gap of 0.5-1cm from each side or more if needed.
- We measure the full height inside the recess and usually subtract 2-3cm from the bottom.
These are the final dimensions required for the construction of the vertical blinds.
On a Simple Window
- For the width of the window, we add 5-10cm on each side for adequate overlap.
- For the height of the window, we add 5-10cm at the top for the supports.
- At the bottom of the window, we add 5-10cm, checking if there is any obstacle such as a radiator.
The same applies to balcony doors as with simple windows, with one difference: we subtract 2-3cm from the bottom so the blinds do not touch the floor.
Direction of Blinds
- The blinds gather on the opposite side where the window handle is located.
- The control is placed on the same side.
