Vertical blinds - Vertical shutters How to measure One characteristic of vertical blinds is that they are ideal for applications with high ceilings.
  • When the window has a recess: Measure the entire width inside the recess and subtract a small gap of 0.5-1cm on each side.
  • Measure the full height inside the recess and subtract 2-3cm from the bottom, so the blinds do not touch the bottom.
These are the final dimensions needed for the construction of the vertical blinds.

For a simple window

  • Add 5-10cm to the width of the window on each side.
  • Add 5-10cm to the top of the window for attaching the brackets of the blinds. Make sure that at the desired height, there are no built-in cables.
  • Add 5-10cm to the bottom of the window, considering any obstacles.
If you have a casement window that opens inward, add extra width to allow the blinds to fold on the outside.

For balcony doors

  • Follow the same process as for a simple window, adding 10-15cm at the top and subtracting 2-3cm from the bottom.

Blind direction

  • The blinds are gathered on the side of the handle.
  • The control handle is placed on the same side.
