About the whites:

The Rembrandt series offers white options with different properties:

  • Zinc White: Semi-transparent cool white. Illuminates without dulling the original color. In egg yolk oil (104) for upper layers, in linseed oil (117) for lower layers
  • Titanium White: Opaque warm white. Ideal for brightening intense colors. In egg yolk oil (105) for upper layers, in linseed oil (118) for lower layers
  • Mixed White: Neutral white with zinc and titanium pigments. In egg yolk oil

Linseed oil vs safflower oil:

Linseed oil yellows over time, which is why it is replaced by safflower oil, especially for whites. Safflower oil yellows less and is ideal for upper layers, but dries more slowly. For lower layers and thick coatings, white based on linseed oil is recommended.
