Description & Specifications

Malexim CYNKAL acrylic primer-enamel is designed for metal surfaces made of steel, galvanized steel, cast iron and light metals such as aluminum, copper and brass. Its modified acrylic copolymer base contains adhesion promoters and corrosion inhibitors, and bonds physically and chemically with rust and the metal substrate.

It can be applied to clean or partially cleaned surfaces, as well as to wood, concrete, fiber cement and other porous substrates. Applied in 2–4 coats, it works as an anti-corrosion primer and topcoat, or as an enamel over existing paint. For medium-term protection, a dry film thickness of at least 150 μm is required. It withstands low temperatures, corrosion, UV radiation and temperatures up to 200 °C, although it may discolor; at 130–140 °C, the coating becomes harder and runs are reduced. It contains no chromium or lead compounds.
