The technology was developed using traction and pressure data, as well as tests on clay courts across Europe in varying weather conditions.

The plastic midfoot plate and wide base help provide stability during quick changes of direction, while the synthetic material on the outer side secures the foot during lateral movements. The rubber reinforcement around the toes, particularly the big toe, enhances durability in high-wear areas. Air Zoom units in the heel and forefoot provide cushioning, support and responsiveness, while the softly padded collar wraps around the ankle.
