CYNKAL acrylic primer based on zinc 0.7L Green
CYNKAL is an acrylic primer designed for painting steel, galvanized, cast iron, and light metal surfaces (such as aluminum, copper, brass). It is based on an acrylic copolymer with adhesion-promoting additives and offers high adhesion on all substrate types. It contains advanced corrosion inhibitors that chemically bind corrosion products, providing excellent anti-corrosive properties.
CYNKAL contains small amounts of alcohols and their derivatives, which facilitate the paint's penetration into corrosion products. It binds naturally and chemically with rust and metal substrates. It is particularly resistant to low temperatures, corrosion, and UV radiation, maintaining the durability of the paint.
It is free from chromium and lead compounds and is easy to apply.
Intended Use: CYNKAL is intended for painting clean (e.g., after abrasive surface treatment) or partially clean elements affected by corrosion made of steel, cast iron, galvanized steel, and light metals (aluminum, copper, brass, etc.). Once dried and bonded to the substrate, the first layer acts as an excellent primer for subsequent layers of CYNKAL or other solvent-based and chemical curing bases. Applying CYNKAL 2-4 times provides protection against corrosion and an aesthetic surface.
Like other acrylic paints, CYNKAL can also be used on wood, concrete, cement fibers, and other porous substrates. It is mainly used as a primer but can also serve as an anti-corrosion protective primer under other paints or as a tint for repainting existing coatings.
For intermediate protection, a minimum dry film thickness of 150 microns is required. For long-term protection, increase the coating thickness.
CYNKAL is mainly used where technical or economical reasons prevent extensive surface preparation by sandblasting, or when partially attached corrosion products and old coatings remain after mechanical surface treatment. It offers significant economic benefits by reducing the need for extensive mechanical or chemical surface preparation before painting.
Like most paints, CYNKAL is resistant to temperatures up to 200°C; however, discoloration of the coating may occur. The addition of reactive resin crosslinkers improves the coating's hardness and prevents streaking at temperatures of 130-140°C.
