Product: CYNKAL acrylic enamel primer 0.7L White

CYNKAL is an acrylic enamel primer designed for painting surfaces made of steel, galvanized steel, cast iron, and light metals (such as aluminum, copper, brass). CYNKAL is based on an acrylic copolymer modified with adhesion promoters and offers high adhesion to all types of substrates. It contains innovative corrosion inhibitors that chemically bond with corrosion products, providing excellent anti-corrosive properties. CYNKAL contains small amounts of alcohols and their derivatives to facilitate paint penetration into corrosion products. It creates a physical and chemical bond with rust and metal substrates.

CYNKAL is especially resistant to low temperatures, corrosion, and UV radiation. It maintains color stability and does not contain chromium or lead compounds. The paint spreads easily.

Purpose: CYNKAL is intended for painting clean (e.g., after sandblasting) or partially clean elements affected by corrosion and made of steel, cast iron, galvanized steel, and light metals (aluminum, copper, brass, etc.). After drying and bonding to the substrate, the first coat serves as an excellent primer for additional CYNKAL coats or other solvent-based and chemically-cured paints, as well as putties. Applying 2-4 coats of CYNKAL provides anti-corrosive protection and an aesthetically pleasing surface.

Additionally, CYNKAL can be used on wood, concrete, fiber cement, and other porous substrates. It is mainly used as an enamel primer, but it can also function as an anti-corrosive primer underneath other paints or as enamel for repainting existing coatings.

For medium-term protection, a minimum dry film thickness of 150 microns is required. For long-term protection, the coating thickness should be increased.

CYNKAL is most commonly used where, for technical or economic reasons, full surface preparation by sandblasting is not feasible, or when partially well-adhered corrosion products and old coatings remain after mechanical surface treatment. It provides measurable economic benefits by reducing the need for extensive mechanical or chemical surface preparation prior to painting.

Like most paints, CYNKAL is resistant to temperatures up to 200°C; however, discoloration of the coating may occur. The addition of reactive resins broadens the hardness range of the coating at elevated temperatures and prevents streaking at 130-140°C.
