The glass-fibre-reinforced polymer handle incorporates a shackle key and a hardened steel marlinspike for untying knots and separating rope strands. It also features a ball-free whistle with a sound level of 110 dB and a lanyard hole.

The stainless steel Virobloc safety ring locks the blade in both the open and closed positions, while the handle withstands impacts, moisture, and temperatures from -40 °C to +80 °C.
