CYNKAL is an acrylic primer-varnish designed for painting surfaces of steel, galvanized, cast iron, and light metals (such as aluminum, copper, brass). It contains adhesion-promoting agents and excellent adhesion to all substrate types.
It includes advanced corrosion inhibitors that chemically bind to corrosion products, offering excellent anti-corrosive properties. Small amounts of alcohols facilitate the paint’s penetration into corrosion products. CYNKAL bonds naturally and chemically with rust and metallic substrates.
It is particularly resistant to low temperatures, corrosion, and ultraviolet radiation. It maintains color durability and contains no chromium or lead compounds. It is easy to apply.
Usage:
CYNKAL is intended for painting clean or partially cleaned elements affected by corrosion, made of steel, cast iron, galvanized steel, and light metals. After drying and bonding with the substrate, the first coat acts as an excellent primer for subsequent coats of CYNKAL or other paints. Applying CYNKAL 2-4 times provides protection against corrosion and an aesthetic finish.
Like other acrylic paints, CYNKAL can also be used on wood, concrete, possibly cement, and other porous substrates. It is mainly used as a primer-varnish but can also be used as an anti-corrosive primer under other paints or as a varnish to renew existing coatings.
For medium-term protection, a minimum dry film thickness of 150 microns is required. For long-term protection, the coating thickness should be increased.
CYNKAL is often used where technical or economic reasons prevent full surface preparation by sandblasting, or where mechanical surface treatment leaves partially adhered corrosion products and old paints.
It offers measurable economic benefits by significantly reducing costs associated with mechanical or chemical surface preparation before painting.
Like most paints, CYNKAL is resistant to temperatures up to 200°C, but discoloration of the coating may occur. The addition of reactive resins increases the hardness of the coating and prevents streaking at temperatures of 130-140°C.
