Polinail 80 mg/g therapeutic nail lacquer is a widely used antifungal product (broad-spectrum) for topical application on fingernails, toenails, and surrounding skin. It is used for the treatment of mild to moderate fungal nail infections (onychomycosis) caused by dermatophytes and/or other fungi that are sensitive to treatment with ciclopirox.

Active ingredients:

• Content per 1 gram of lacquer: ciclopirox 80 mg.

Excipients:

• Ethyl acetate, ethanol (96%), cetostearyl alcohol, hydroxypropylchitosan, and purified water.

Dosage and method of use:

Recommended dosage: apply a thin layer to the infected nail(s). Nails should be clean and dry. The therapeutic nail lacquer should be applied to the entire surface of the nail and 5 millimeters of the surrounding skin. Polinail 80 mg/g therapeutic nail lacquer should also be applied under the free edge of the nail. Allow it to dry for about 30 seconds. Nails should not be washed for at least 6 hours, so it is recommended to apply Polinail 80 mg/g therapeutic nail lacquer in the evening before bedtime.

No solvent or abrasive (e.g. nail file) is required to remove Polinail 80 mg/g therapeutic nail lacquer. Simply wash the nails carefully with water.

Treatment should continue until the problem is resolved, that is, until the nails are clear and healthy new nails have grown. Complete healing of fingernails usually takes about 6 months, and toenails about 9 to 12 months.
