The base of the armrest is placed in the factory slot on the center console. Thanks to the factory foam pads, the armrest is stable and does not wobble. The slot where the armrest slides onto the base is secured with a screw. The armrest slides onto the guide slot and the rear slot locks it so it cannot be fully removed.
