Description

The QiDi Max 4 is a desktop FDM 3D printer designed for large objects and technical materials. Its CoreXY motion system combines closed-loop FOC stepper motors with enhanced cooling for stable printhead movement. The enclosed chamber features third-generation active heating and air circulation to maintain a stable printing environment for materials prone to warping.

The motion system uses 1.5GT belts, 10 mm wide, a linear rail on the X-axis, 12 mm steel shafts on the Y-axis, and four guides with two independent motors and trapezoidal lead screws on the Z-axis. The direct-drive extruder features dual hardened steel gears, while the ceramic throat and heat sink assembly help reduce the risk of nozzle clogs. Other features include a filament runout sensor, print recovery after a power outage, and a three-stage filtration system with a G3 pre-filter, HEPA H12 filter, and coconut-shell activated carbon. Built-in storage consists of 32 GB eMMC. The rated power is 150 W for the printer, 500 W for chamber heating, and 700 W for the build plate heating. The power supply is 110 V or 220–240 V AC, 50/60 Hz.

  • Printing technology: FDM, with a CoreXY motion system
  • Build volume: 390 × 390 × 340 mm
  • Maximum print speed: up to 800 mm/s, with acceleration up to 30,000 mm/s²
  • Maximum nozzle temperature: up to 370 °C
  • Heated build plate: up to 120 °C
  • Printing materials: 1.75 mm PLA, ABS, ASA, PETG, TPU, PA, and PC filaments, as well as carbon-fiber- or fiberglass-reinforced composites
  • Extruder: one direct-drive extruder, with a material flow rate of 40 mm³/s
  • Automatic bed leveling: using a load cell sensor integrated into the hot end
  • Enclosed chamber: actively heated, up to 65 °C
  • Display: 5-inch touchscreen with an 800 × 480 resolution
  • Camera: 1080p camera with AI monitoring and time-lapse video recording
