In Lying Pirates: The Race for the Pirate Throne – Deluxe Big Box, you take on the role of a pirate ship captain, aiming to be the first to reach the Pirate Throne through bluffing, strategy, and naval battles. The game is played in rounds with three main phases:

  • Betting: A Liar’s Dice-style bluffing phase, where you bet on your crew's dice and try to read or deceive your opponents.
  • Sailing phase: The loser loses an advantage, while the others move on the board and activate event tiles with various risks.
  • Action phase: Play cards for attacks, defense, or to upgrade your crew.

The Deluxe Big Box includes the base game as well as the Curse of the Dead expansion, which adds new content, more options, and additional players (up to 6), as well as upgraded components such as metal coins, bamboo cups, magnetic tiles, miniatures, and large organized storage.
