A steel plate covers the slot where the key is inserted, thus protecting the internal mechanism of the lock as well. In this way, both the lock body and the cylinder are protected.

The magnetic defender comes with 2 magnetic keys. By placing the magnet in the designated spot on the defender, the steel plate lowers and reveals the key slot. Copies of the magnetic key can only be made at authorized stores upon presentation of the ownership card by the owner.
