The correction lawsuit of inaccurate initial land registry entries under Article 6 § 2 of Law 2664/1998 is the most popular legal remedy in the field of land registration law. At the same time, the defendant in the relevant lawsuit is primarily the State, given the numerous properties registered in the relevant land registry sheets with the indication "unknown owner".

The aim of this publication is to shed light on the land registration trial that opens with the corrective lawsuit of the initial entries, specifically from the perspective of the claims raised by the defendant, the Greek State, as a defense against it. Moreover, to assist readers (lawyers and legal practitioners), the appendix of this edition includes court decisions from jurisdictional courts as well as the Supreme Court, which clearly and decisively resolve key practical issues of the land registration trial involving the State as a party.
