High-performance adhesive and base coat for external thermal insulation systems (ETICS), 25kg/bag

FIXOTHERM SUPER white is a pre-prepared white cementitious mortar, fiber-reinforced and enhanced with polymer and additive additives. It is applied in external thermal insulation systems (ETICS) with two main applications:

• As an adhesive for bonding thermal insulation boards onto the external wall.
• As a base coat over the insulation boards with embedded fiberglass mesh reinforcement.

As an insulation material, expanded polystyrene (EPS), mineral wool (MW), and extruded polystyrene (XPS) boards can be used. It is characterized by:

• High adhesive strength.
• Low water absorption.
• High vapor permeability.

The application requires suitable substrates such as concrete surfaces, masonry, and lime-cement plasters. Loose materials and flaking old coatings are removed mechanically. The adhesion strength of the existing substrate must be at least 0.08 N/mm².

The ambient temperature during application should be between +5°C and +35°C. Protecting the wet material from weather conditions is essential.

Mixing requires 8.15 L of water for each 25 kg bag of FIXOTHERM SUPER white. Proper homogeneity of the mixture is achieved using a low-speed electric mixer.

The consumption of FIXOTHERM SUPER white for adhesive application ranges from 4-5 kg/m². For the base coat, the minimum consumption at a thickness of 3 mm is 4.5 kg/m² for rigid boards (EPS-XPS) and 6 kg/m² for mineral wool (MW) boards.
