The charcoal lighter is placed in your grill with a layer of charcoal underneath and the heating element on top. It is important that the handle of the device remains outside the grill. A pyramid of charcoal is created over the heating element, covering its entire surface. The device is plugged into the power outlet and after about 10 minutes the charcoal is ready. Remove the heating element and distribute the charcoal in your grill.
