Tradition with a future: the proven textbook in a revised edition.

The fundamental revision of the Cursus combines the latest developments in subject didactics and methodology with long-established practices. The focus of the revision is on systematic method training, internal differentiation, and a consistent and comprehensive competence orientation.

New: the plateau lessons. These integrate various method courses for text analysis, translation techniques, and vocabulary work, summarized on special pages. Additionally, there are cultural pages and a wide range of exercises.

The increasing difficulty level of the individual exercises allows for differentiated work at any time. The tasks on the exercise double pages within the plateau lessons explicitly promote independent work and individual support.

On every page of the textbook (except the exercise pages), there are notes on the key competencies being acquired. This makes the current learning content and progress as well as the corresponding competencies transparent – also for the learners.

The lesson scope has been streamlined by ten units to 40 lessons. This ensures, on the one hand, more intensive work on individual phenomena and, on the other hand, differentiated work oriented to the individual needs of the students. Optional content allows for a shortened course if needed.

The revision naturally continues to rely on the proven variety of task formats and social forms. The popular novel plot about the two young heroes Flavia and Quintus, who reunite after a long separation and various adventures, has also been retained.

The structure and concept of the accompanying grammar have been completely redesigned.
