Personal Work and Reading Book German - Revised Edition

P.A.U.L. D. is the modern textbook for the subject German at grammar schools and comprehensive schools in lower secondary education. It covers all areas of the subject and goes beyond in the area of method training. Selected thematic focal points are revisited and expanded in each grade level.

In addition to the proven conceptual elements and based on newly developed curricula for G9 and the NRW media competence framework, this edition emphasizes the following:

Differentiation
Relief and differentiation are provided through support and concrete assistance during the learning process. Integrated into the development process are recurring suggestions on how the learned material can be applied at different levels.

Learning Tasks
Numerous units contain so-called learning tasks for independent, self-regulated work. These are carried out by the student alone or in partner or group work during a complex learning process and based on acquired knowledge. They are designed as a differentiation offer to enable different learning paths.

Webcodes
Webcodes, individually accessible by each student, provide access to numerous audio versions of the texts contained in the volumes (literary and factual texts) and can facilitate understanding and be used in the learning process. At many other points, these webcodes offer differentiation and supplementary materials that support the learning process.

The table of contents illustrates the interconnection of topics, methods, and competencies. Each unit begins with an introductory text that provides an outlook on the key learning points and shows ways to present what has been learned. Toolboxes give students tips on how to approach certain learning and development processes. Summaries, in which the material is systematically consolidated, serve to reinforce and review. Almost all units end with a proposal for independent verification of the learned material.
