What is new about P.A.U.L. D.? The proven concept of P.A.U.L. D. has been continued and optimized. This is particularly reflected in new materials, especially visual materials and new text selections, while retaining what has proven effective; in task formats that - from simple to more complex - gradually build up basic knowledge and address different learner types in a differentiated manner; in further internal differentiation.

The tasks take into account the individual learning pace, motivations, and abilities of the students. To this end, the new task format "Take Off! How You Can Continue Working" has been introduced, which is repeatedly integrated into the learning processes.

Differentiation and practice materials are also included in the extensive final chapter "Practice, Review, and More..." (from grade 6). Additional comprehensive differentiation materials are provided by the workbooks.

At the end of all units, where didactically appropriate, there are review pages. These pages "Small Exercises for Learning Control" (self-evaluation including solutions) relate to the previously acquired (basic) knowledge; in a new format and layout.
