Excellent, you get what you pay for, this one has one of the best cooling systems, flawless OLED display, it's a pleasure to watch content and play video games. I bought it with an invoice, of course, but if someone wants a serious machine, it is the only way. Check reviews too, it is considered among the top choices. Build quality, display, graphics card, the only negative is its weight and the charger, but this particular one is bought by someone instead of a desktop, so I wouldn't really characterize that as a negative either.

After almost a month of using the laptop, I can say that I am extremely satisfied. My previous laptop was an Asus ROG with an RTX 2060, so the difference is like night and day.

Gaming

It runs everything in native 1600p, at maximum graphics settings and always above 60 fps. All this on balanced mode. If you switch to performance mode, you get 30-40% more fps depending on the game, at the cost of higher temperatures. The 60fps I mentioned is indicative, because since I mostly play offline, I don't care much about the frames. Indicatively, in RDR2 - 100-120fps, Call of Duty BO6 140-160 fps, Cyberpunk 100 fps (framegen ×2). All games at 1600p and max graphics with ray tracing, etc.

Screen

I was hesitant at first, due to the potential for burn-in on OLEDs, but the screen is incredible. Vivid colors, on the saturated side (which I personally like), but if someone doesn't, there are settings via X-Rite. It has built-in anti burn-in software that "maintains" the screen, and through Legion Space there are some extra protections for the screen that you can activate if you want (auto-dim, auto-hide taskbar, etc). Overall, it is a very beautiful, vivid, and bright screen from the top shelf of OLEDs.

Temperatures

I had read generally about incredibly high temperatures from the Intel HX 275. The truth is that the processor can handle up to 110 degrees if I remember correctly, and the limit is at 103 or 105 where it will throttle. Even in performance mode, I have seen it momentarily reach 103 and maintain an average of 95 degrees. In balanced mode, in the demanding games I mentioned above, it keeps around 80-85 on average with momentary peaks at 95-98. In my opinion, create a custom profile with some minor tweaks and set the fans to max, and the temperature averages at 77 degrees without losing performance. I may have lost 5 fps compared to performance mode, and the differences in temperature are more than noticeable. Overall, for the power of the laptop, the temperatures are excellent, and they have done a very good job with the cooling.

Keyboard ⌨️

Quite pleasant to use, with very nice LED lighting and a good layout and size. There is nothing serious to mention further.

Overall

Beautiful laptop with very good build quality. There are no creaks at all, and the whole construction is aluminum and a mix of plastic with magnesium. The screen has no flex at all, and in my unit, the build quality is excellent. The LEDs are a big plus for me because they really enhance the aesthetics, but for those who don't want them, they can be easily turned off. It is a fingerprint magnet, though, so you will always have a cloth with you. The power brick is huge and weighs over 1kg. It is 400w. However, you can live with it, otherwise you can use a type C charger, which is not included of course, with 150w if I am not mistaken, and it is much more portable. The laptop weighs 2.5 kg, which is okay for a 16" gaming laptop. The speakers are nice with quality sound and plenty of bass if you adjust them in Nahimic.

Negatives ️
Only the trackpad, which is very mediocre, but I use a mouse anyway, and maybe I would have liked a better I/O port layout

The review concerns the version with the 275HX and the RTX 5080 (Greek Keyboard)

The things it lacks, or rather the things Lenovo has put in second place, happen to be low-priority for me, so given the low price for the overall specs, it was a very good buy.

To start with, this laptop is my workstation (desktop replacement and for on-the-move use) for photo and video editing. Premiere and After Effects, it handles them very well and the difference from my previous laptop (6900HS + 3070Ti) is particularly noticeable.

Contrary to another user who listed the temperatures as a negative, I find it PARTICULARLY cool or, to put it differently, particularly quiet, with the cooling system working perfectly. The only negative, which is also related to the choices made in cooling so it doesn't bother me much, is its size. You might need a bag made for a 17" laptop. I had to get a new one because the bag that easily fit my previous 16" laptop doesn't fit this one.

The screen is very good, although I haven't really dealt with the included Pantone profiles since I connect it to my desktop monitor. By default, the default calibration is a bit warmer and at some point, I should check if the ready-made profiles offer something a bit more neutral. (update: I did a quick custom calibration with the Windows tool, tweaking the RGB values slightly, and matched it to my desktop monitor and I'm OK)

The processor is a beast. It delivers. Same for the 5080, which is probably the sweet spot in Nvidia's 5 series. I wish they had given a bit more memory to their cards this year... but what can you do.

As for RAM, for those interested, you can go up to 96GB (2x48GB). I did this upgrade because of video editing and it has worked flawlessly so far. (edit 28/12/2025: Glory and honor to those who need to buy memory. The 96GB I mentioned above I bought for 202 Euros in June. Right now, they cost 1008 Euros!!!)

I wish they had kept more of the ports at the back (e.g. charger port, 2.5Gbit ethernet, HDMI), it would have helped a lot but, as I said above, it wasn't something that would prevent me from buying, no super-big deal. I'm waiting for a docking station to arrive so most cables will be hidden, almost everything I connect now will go through the docking station hidden behind the laptop and only one USB-C plugged in on the side will be needed (apart from the charger port).

The charger is a beast, unfortunately. 400Watt (!)... and it weighs over 1kg by itself. It's not a negligible weight at all, it's an issue in the bag when carrying it. We'll survive, what can you do....

I've ordered and am waiting for a 140W Lenovo usb-c charger. 140W is the maximum this laptop can take via usb-c but (they say) you need to use a specific Lenovo charger because it has a special protocol that allows it. Any other usb-c PD charger that reaches or exceeds 100W is limited to 100W when connected. I recently tried a 65W PD. For browsing and emails it would be fine but for anything more it struggled badly (I had forgotten the big charger so I had to compromise). I hope at 140W the system can run a bit more comfortably. I don't expect it to work at 100%... but they say it reaches about 50%... which would probably be OK to be light on-the-move when I don't need full performance.

That's all for now.

The keyboard is very good, and generally the build quality feels at a high level. It gives you the sense that it was made to work well and for a long time without compromising for the sake of aesthetics.

The Lenovo charger that works at 140W has arrived. Everything perfect, it delivers all the Watts and the system generally works very close to 60+% compared to the regular 400W charger. Which means you can EASILY leave the big charger at home and carry something at half the weight. The system works just fine, I've even worked with video without any issues (not videos loaded with super heavy effects that bring the system to its knees even with 400W). Charger code: GX21M50626

Excellent, you get what you pay for, this one has one of the best cooling systems, flawless OLED display, it's a pleasure to watch content and play video games. I bought it with an invoice, of course, but if someone wants a serious machine, it is the only way. Check reviews too, it is considered among the top choices. Build quality, display, graphics card, the only negative is its weight and the charger, but this particular one is bought by someone instead of a desktop, so I wouldn't really characterize that as a negative either.

After almost a month of using the laptop, I can say that I am extremely satisfied. My previous laptop was an Asus ROG with an RTX 2060, so the difference is like night and day.

Gaming

It runs everything in native 1600p, at maximum graphics settings and always above 60 fps. All this on balanced mode. If you switch to performance mode, you get 30-40% more fps depending on the game, at the cost of higher temperatures. The 60fps I mentioned is indicative, because since I mostly play offline, I don't care much about the frames. Indicatively, in RDR2 - 100-120fps, Call of Duty BO6 140-160 fps, Cyberpunk 100 fps (framegen ×2). All games at 1600p and max graphics with ray tracing, etc.

Screen

I was hesitant at first, due to the potential for burn-in on OLEDs, but the screen is incredible. Vivid colors, on the saturated side (which I personally like), but if someone doesn't, there are settings via X-Rite. It has built-in anti burn-in software that "maintains" the screen, and through Legion Space there are some extra protections for the screen that you can activate if you want (auto-dim, auto-hide taskbar, etc). Overall, it is a very beautiful, vivid, and bright screen from the top shelf of OLEDs.

Temperatures

I had read generally about incredibly high temperatures from the Intel HX 275. The truth is that the processor can handle up to 110 degrees if I remember correctly, and the limit is at 103 or 105 where it will throttle. Even in performance mode, I have seen it momentarily reach 103 and maintain an average of 95 degrees. In balanced mode, in the demanding games I mentioned above, it keeps around 80-85 on average with momentary peaks at 95-98. In my opinion, create a custom profile with some minor tweaks and set the fans to max, and the temperature averages at 77 degrees without losing performance. I may have lost 5 fps compared to performance mode, and the differences in temperature are more than noticeable. Overall, for the power of the laptop, the temperatures are excellent, and they have done a very good job with the cooling.

Keyboard ⌨️

Quite pleasant to use, with very nice LED lighting and a good layout and size. There is nothing serious to mention further.

Overall

Beautiful laptop with very good build quality. There are no creaks at all, and the whole construction is aluminum and a mix of plastic with magnesium. The screen has no flex at all, and in my unit, the build quality is excellent. The LEDs are a big plus for me because they really enhance the aesthetics, but for those who don't want them, they can be easily turned off. It is a fingerprint magnet, though, so you will always have a cloth with you. The power brick is huge and weighs over 1kg. It is 400w. However, you can live with it, otherwise you can use a type C charger, which is not included of course, with 150w if I am not mistaken, and it is much more portable. The laptop weighs 2.5 kg, which is okay for a 16" gaming laptop. The speakers are nice with quality sound and plenty of bass if you adjust them in Nahimic.

Negatives ️
Only the trackpad, which is very mediocre, but I use a mouse anyway, and maybe I would have liked a better I/O port layout

The review concerns the version with the 275HX and the RTX 5080 (Greek Keyboard)

The things it lacks, or rather the things Lenovo has put in second place, happen to be low-priority for me, so given the low price for the overall specs, it was a very good buy.

To start with, this laptop is my workstation (desktop replacement and for on-the-move use) for photo and video editing. Premiere and After Effects, it handles them very well and the difference from my previous laptop (6900HS + 3070Ti) is particularly noticeable.

Contrary to another user who listed the temperatures as a negative, I find it PARTICULARLY cool or, to put it differently, particularly quiet, with the cooling system working perfectly. The only negative, which is also related to the choices made in cooling so it doesn't bother me much, is its size. You might need a bag made for a 17" laptop. I had to get a new one because the bag that easily fit my previous 16" laptop doesn't fit this one.

The screen is very good, although I haven't really dealt with the included Pantone profiles since I connect it to my desktop monitor. By default, the default calibration is a bit warmer and at some point, I should check if the ready-made profiles offer something a bit more neutral. (update: I did a quick custom calibration with the Windows tool, tweaking the RGB values slightly, and matched it to my desktop monitor and I'm OK)

The processor is a beast. It delivers. Same for the 5080, which is probably the sweet spot in Nvidia's 5 series. I wish they had given a bit more memory to their cards this year... but what can you do.

As for RAM, for those interested, you can go up to 96GB (2x48GB). I did this upgrade because of video editing and it has worked flawlessly so far. (edit 28/12/2025: Glory and honor to those who need to buy memory. The 96GB I mentioned above I bought for 202 Euros in June. Right now, they cost 1008 Euros!!!)

I wish they had kept more of the ports at the back (e.g. charger port, 2.5Gbit ethernet, HDMI), it would have helped a lot but, as I said above, it wasn't something that would prevent me from buying, no super-big deal. I'm waiting for a docking station to arrive so most cables will be hidden, almost everything I connect now will go through the docking station hidden behind the laptop and only one USB-C plugged in on the side will be needed (apart from the charger port).

The charger is a beast, unfortunately. 400Watt (!)... and it weighs over 1kg by itself. It's not a negligible weight at all, it's an issue in the bag when carrying it. We'll survive, what can you do....

I've ordered and am waiting for a 140W Lenovo usb-c charger. 140W is the maximum this laptop can take via usb-c but (they say) you need to use a specific Lenovo charger because it has a special protocol that allows it. Any other usb-c PD charger that reaches or exceeds 100W is limited to 100W when connected. I recently tried a 65W PD. For browsing and emails it would be fine but for anything more it struggled badly (I had forgotten the big charger so I had to compromise). I hope at 140W the system can run a bit more comfortably. I don't expect it to work at 100%... but they say it reaches about 50%... which would probably be OK to be light on-the-move when I don't need full performance.

That's all for now.

The keyboard is very good, and generally the build quality feels at a high level. It gives you the sense that it was made to work well and for a long time without compromising for the sake of aesthetics.

update 15/07/2025

The Lenovo charger that works at 140W has arrived. Everything perfect, it delivers all the Watts and the system generally works very close to 60+% compared to the regular 400W charger. Which means you can EASILY leave the big charger at home and carry something at half the weight. The system works just fine, I've even worked with video without any issues (not videos loaded with super heavy effects that bring the system to its knees even with 400W). Charger code: GX21M50626
