▫️A few words about the book: Fourth Wing is an epic romantasy book that takes us to a military academy for future warriors... and yes, our story also has dragons! Violet, the daughter of a famous general, instead of following the path assigned to her as a scribe, is forced to join one of the most dangerous squadrons!
▪️Book style/writing: Rebecca Yarros combines fantasy, strategy, political games, tension, and romance in a book you truly can't put down. Her writing is full of suspense and anxiety, without unnecessary descriptions. The narration is highly emotionally charged, making you bond with our protagonist from the very beginning. Each chapter ends in a way that forces you to say "just one more," and that's how you end up reading another 100 pages in one night.
▫️Why I loved it: The book keeps you in suspense about what will happen on every page. The characters are complex, with weaknesses and personalities that don't follow the usual stereotypes... I mean, they bond with dragons so it's logical they're complicated. It has very good worldbuilding that gives you details gradually without overwhelming you. My favorites were the dialogues with Violet's dragon because they had humor and a bit of irony along with the wisdom needed in such stories. And the plot twists? Some of the best I've read lately!
▪️Why you should read it: If you liked ACOTAR or The Hunger Games but want something with more intensity, magic, and strategy, then this book is for you. Also, if you like to change book boyfriends as you read... it's probably one of those cases where you'll switch sides between Dain and Xaden more than once.

Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros is one of those books that kept me captivated from the first to the last page. It is a novel belonging to the romantasy genre – a combination of fantasy and romance – and is mainly aimed at adult and young adult readers who love intense emotions, magic, and epic action. The story is set in a harsh and dangerous world, where only the bravest manage to survive. The protagonist is Violet Sorrengail, a young woman who, although she grew up dreaming of becoming a writer, is forced by her general mother to join the elite and dangerous Corps of Riders at the renowned War College of Basgiath. There, life is a constant battle not only for survival but also for recognition.

What makes the book truly special for me is Violet herself. She is a character who combines fragility with inner strength. Despite her weaknesses, which the system considers "flaws," she insists on fighting, questioning, and trying. She is incredibly smart, observant, and constantly evolving, without losing her sensitivity. Her relationship with Zayden, a mysterious and dark dragon rider, is full of tension, emotional ups and downs, and chemistry that makes you not want to stop reading.

The world of Fourth Wing is harsh yet enchanting. Filled with political intrigues, betrayals, sacrifices, and conflicts that keep the suspense high. The action scenes are well-written and intense, while the quieter, emotional moments have real depth and never feel superficial or forced. I really liked how the book touches on themes such as resilience, self-belief, and the value of personal choices, even when everything around you seems to be collapsing.

Overall, Fourth Wing was a reading experience that left me thrilled, moved, and completely addicted. If you love stories with dragons, magic, dynamic female characters, and a breathtaking romance, then this book definitely deserves a spot on your list.

it is a dystopian book with fantastic content and dragons and is part of the anticipated 5-word Empyrean. Violet has been preparing her whole life to become a scribe on the day of the "allocation" at the age of 20, unlike her siblings and mother who are successful dragon riders and can harness magic to protect the continent and the kingdom. Violet believes she is too sensitive and fragile to enter the Riders' war school; however, her mother has other plans, and so she goes through the trials and survives, reaching the school where she will be trained to become the most powerful Rider or die trying. Each Rider has their own dragon and their own unique magic signet. There she meets Xaden, her wingleader commander and deadly enemy, as he is the son of the rebel who tried to threaten the peace of the Kingdom, killed her brother, and was sentenced to death as a traitor while Xaden and the children of all the rebels were marked to stand out and made an agreement to enter the Riders' school and serve their homeland, if they survive. The book is incredibly well-written to the point that every single page counts and has so much to tell you. The dialogues are very clever and flow very pleasantly, while the characters, especially the dragons about which we learn a lot, are some of the best characters in the book. The whole book has vibes of Divergent, Maze Runner, a little Harry Potter, and I loved it! Honestly, I can't recommend it enough, even to those who don't read fantasy; it will enchant them!

I start to write to you about the book that I loved and it was a fair and terrible continuation of the first one without losing any of the glory of the first. In the second book of the Empyrean series, everything has changed, we are now in the second year of Basgiath where, as Xaden says, most lose their humanity. In the first half, we learn a lot about the world-building, the war college, the dragons, and the signets while we see the revolution taking shape in Aretia. I really enjoyed the sexual tension and the eroticism in the book between the protagonists while I appreciated the development of both the main and secondary characters. Once again, the dragons were amazing and very humorous! The book is a complete, shocking, and powerful sequel while I can't wait for the third one as it leaves us on a terrible cliffhanger ?. Many of my questions, many theories circulating, and I hope Rebecca will get us out of our misery soon! Although so far we have 2 out of the 5 books, the series is expected to be epic and definitely one of my top reads?️

In the first half, we learn a lot about the world-building, the war college, the dragons, and the signets while we see the revolution being set up in Aretia. I really enjoyed the sexual tension and the eroticism in the book between the protagonists, and I loved the development of both the main and secondary characters. Once again, the dragons were amazing and very humorous! The book is a complete, thrilling, and powerful sequel, and I can’t wait for the third one as it leaves us on a tremendous cliffhanger. I have many questions, many theories circulating, and I hope Rebecca will get us out of our misery soon! It was truly an epic book, and even though it was long, I wanted more! Although so far we have 2 out of the 5 books, the series promises to be epic and definitely one of my top reads!
