    My issue is that it wasn't written in the instructions, but I also don't see how I can open it to clean it. Once a month I clean all my fans. It probably needs the whole base to be unscrewed, which would take time. Also, the TV remote, when I lower or raise the volume, changes the fan settings. Either it gets stronger or the timer turns on, which annoys me. Otherwise, it's a beast. It blows crazy air, has a lot of power, so it also makes quite a bit of noise. Nice
