Transparent Structure of the Units

The introductory page presents the learning tasks and provides an overview of the key competencies. This is followed by three sections with texts and exercises that specifically prepare for the learning tasks.

Individualization

All students are different – Ŕ plus! Nouvelle édition offers two learning tasks per unit to choose from.

Differentiation: the right level for everyone

Parallel exercises in the student book show two learning paths leading to the same goal. Symbols indicate tasks at the upper and lower ends of the performance spectrum.

Preparation for the DELF

From the very first units, Ŕ plus! Nouvelle édition prepares students for the DELF. For this purpose, the review pages include test tasks in DELF format.

Information about the Series Edition:

The big advantage for competence-oriented French teaching Ŕ plus! Nouvelle édition focuses entirely on the competence development of students. The teaching material is easy to handle, does not overwhelm students while providing enough material for faster learners, and inspires and motivates through songs, games, and movement-based learning.

Diagnosing and Supporting

On the optional pages "Fais le point" and "Bilan," students review what they have learned so far and check their performance level. Teachers will find a diagnostic tool here to create individual support plans – complemented by materials in the teacher’s folder. Also suitable for "paperless" use on PC and teacher platforms.

Teacher’s Edition of the Student Book

Vocabulary and grammar highlighted in color, notes for lesson preparation, and references to additional materials such as transparencies, interactive whiteboard materials, extra differentiation and support exercises in the teacher materials.

Audio CDs

The CDs include lesson texts as well as texts for listening comprehension exercises, songs, and poems.

Video DVD

Integrated listening and viewing comprehension is central from the start: The video DVD shows film sequences indicated by a DVD symbol in the student book.

Activity Book with Audio and Video Material

Varied exercises and tasks accompanying the teaching material with intensified dialogue training in role plays and cooperative tasks, differentiated offers for different learning prerequisites, review exercises in or before each unit, tasks for listening and viewing comprehension, diagnostic pages ("Fais le point") to check learning progress after each unit, and extra support exercises in the enclosed booklet.

On the CD extra/online, all listening texts from the activity book, solutions to the support exercises, as well as all textbook texts of units and modules are available for listening in MP3 format. All film sequences from the activity book are included on the DVD or available online.

Activity Book with Interactive Exercises

The interactive exercises are a supplementary offer to the activity book. The training units are aligned with the teaching content and offer students the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of the most important topics. Tips and feedback support independent task completion.

Vocabulary Trainer App

Learn vocabulary playfully on smartphone and tablet: Available to match the teaching material in the App Store and Google Play.

Interactive Vocabulary Trainer

The vocabulary trainer is software specifically for vocabulary learning – precisely coordinated with the textbook. The program consists of two parts: the interactive vocabulary card file accompanies students throughout the school year in practicing, learning, and testing vocabulary from the teaching material. All vocabulary is voiced. The multimedia-supported vocabulary learning is fun and based on the proven flashcard principle in several steps until the vocabulary "sticks." With the diverse interactive vocabulary exercises, vocabulary can be deepened.

My Grammar for Self-Writing

With this grammar booklet, students can regularly record their progress, formulate and collect grammar rules themselves. This way, they always have an overview of their knowledge. The detachable pages can be easily filed and stored, so they remain accessible in the next school year. Solutions for self-check are available for download.

Learning Diary

Students can regularly record their progress in the learning diary as well as collect thematic vocabulary, important phrases, and grammar. This way, they always keep track of their accumulated knowledge. The learning diary is divided into four color-coded sections, which can be easily filed thanks to detachable pages: Vocabulaire thématique, Les mots pour le dire, Mots en contexte, Grammaire. Solutions for self-check are available for download.

Class Test Trainer for Targeted and Independent Preparation

Two class tests per unit/dossier, tasks for reading comprehension, listening comprehension, writing, speaking, mediation, as well as vocabulary and grammar, training cards to improve speaking skills, notes on assessment and correction, listening texts for training listening comprehension with closed and semi-open task formats, solutions for self-check.

Lesson Preparation à la Carte

The CD-ROM offers a versatile toolbox for lesson preparation: With tools that integrate into Microsoft Word, you can quickly and easily create worksheets with letter, word, and sentence mixers, word snakes, cloze texts, crossword puzzles. Also check any French texts regarding the vocabulary progression of Ŕ plus! The lesson preparation contains all textbook texts as well as transcripts of the listening exercises from the book and activity book. Additional materials include DVD transcripts, numerous illustrations, practical suggestions for content distribution, and help for creating a school-internal curriculum for French.
