The electric fencing wire is suitable for both small and large enclosures, whether for domestic or wild animals. Its main material is plastic, which ensures high breaking strength, while it also contains metal wires. The thread features elasticity, allowing it to withstand strong impacts without breaking easily. It is resistant to ultraviolet radiation and can be used for several years.
Its color ensures good visibility and it is suitable for both permanent and temporary fences.
When choosing the wire for the electric fence, the following parameters should be taken into account:
- Breaking strength: Expressed in kg and represents the maximum tensile force of the wire. For pets, a maximum value of 100 kg is sufficient, while for wild animals a stronger thread is recommended.
- Electrical resistance: Expressed in Ω/m. The higher the resistance, the greater the voltage loss on the cable. A 0.4 Ω/m wire can be used for a maximum fence length of 10,000 m, while a 7 Ω/m wire can be used only up to 500 m.
