Taking as its starting point the documentary film Visite ou Mémoires et Confessions directed by Manoel de Oliveira in 1982 and released posthumously, in accordance with the director's wishes, in 2016, this publication examines the notion of dwelling in the work of the Portuguese filmmaker.
Richly illustrated with archival documents and film images, the book contains four essays, as well as an unpublished conversation between Oliveira and the architect Álvaro Siza.
