The AM7 is ZWO's most powerful mount, featuring an industrial-grade wave distortion gear. This makes the mount particularly compact yet highly durable.

  • Load capacity: Can carry 20 kilograms without counterweights, ideal for mobile astrophotography.
  • Stable operation: Can be equipped with optional counterweights and loaded with up to 30 kilograms.
  • Motors: Uses stepper motors with belt drives on both axes.
  • Error: The periodic error is less than 10 arcseconds, and there is no backlash during direction changes.
    • Functions: Supports sidereal mode for photography and alt-azimuth mode for visual observation.
  • Altitude adjustment: From 0° to 90°, suitable for worldwide use.
  • Mounting saddle: Allows the use of prism rails according to Vixen or Losmandy standards.
  • Power supply: DC 12V, at least 3 amps, with D5.5x2.1mm plug, center positive.
  • Wireless networking: Equipped with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, can be controlled wirelessly with the Sky Atlas app for iOS or Android.
  • Controller: Can operate without a smartphone using the hand controller.
