Volume Kinetics is the third part of the four-volume textbook series Technical Mechanics. The goal of this didactically refined work is to convey an understanding of the essential fundamental laws of mechanics and to develop the ability to formulate and independently solve engineering problems using mechanics.

The approach chosen is as simple as possible to access mechanics. The material presented is based on the scope of mechanics courses at German-speaking universities and is excellently suited for all bachelor's, master's, and diploma degree programs. The book contains numerous fully worked-out examples that allow the reader to practice applying the fundamental laws.

As extras, applets related to the book's examples are offered online. The bestseller on Technical Mechanics now appears in the updated, newly designed 14th edition. Improvements and additions have been made in Chapter 2, Kinetics of a System of Mass Points, and Chapter 4, Principles of Mechanics.

Volume 1 covers Statics, Volume 2 Elastic Statics, and Volume 4 Hydromechanics as well as Advanced Mechanics and Numerical Methods. The textbooks are complemented by carefully coordinated exercise volumes. Due to great success, the textbook series has also been published in English as a three-volume work under the title "Engineering Mechanics."
