The Garrett DD Vortex Ripper 5″ x 8″ search coil is designed for use with Garrett Vortex detectors and is built for MD-MF technology. Its compact size and narrow detection field make it easier to search among roots, rocks, stubble, and areas with high concentrations of iron, as well as near larger metal objects such as iron posts. Its focused detection energy helps locate jewelry, small coils, and gold nuggets.

The coil has a durable, fully waterproof housing and can be submerged in lakes, streams, and oceans. It features a special waterproof connector and is not compatible with other Garrett detectors. A coil cover is included.
