The material is very good and durable. It doesn't crease like the thin fabric tote bags. The size and shape are somewhat reminiscent of a beach bag, but it's not that bulky. It fits quite a lot of things inside (bottle, books, etc.). The inner pocket is very handy. I would prefer it to close with a zipper for more protection, rather than just that one small button in the middle.
