Operating costs beyond the initial purchase price
The Timekettle W4 does not require a subscription, but it does have two types of ongoing costs:
1.. Monthly free translation minutes
W4 includes 300 free online translation minutes per month.
After that, you must buy Fish Tokens inside the app to continue translating.
For most travelers, 300 minutes is usually enough, but if you use it daily, you will likely exceed it.
2.. Offline language packs (optional)
W4 includes 2 free offline language pairs, but additional offline packs cost €11 each.
Offline packs are optional — you only need them if you want translation without internet.
