Vertical Blinds - Vertical Shades
How to Measure:
A key feature of vertical blinds is that they are ideal for applications with high ceilings.
- When the window has a recess, measure the entire width within the recess and subtract a small gap of 0.5-1cm on each side, or more if necessary (e.g., for cable holes).
- Measure the full height within the recess and subtract 2-3cm from the bottom, to prevent the blinds or the connecting chain from touching the floor.
These are the final dimensions needed for the construction of the vertical blinds.
For a simple window:
- On the width of the window, add 5-10cm on each side for sufficient coverage.
- On the height of the window, add 5-10cm at the top for mounting supports. Make sure there are no embedded cables at the desired height.
- At the bottom of the window, add as much as desired, usually 5-10cm. If there is an obstacle (e.g., radiator), we need to consider it.
If you have a inward-opening window, calculate extra width on that side to gather the blinds to the side of the window.
For balcony doors, the same applies, with one difference: from the total height, subtract 2-3cm from the bottom so that the blinds do not touch the floor.
Blind Direction:
- The blinds are gathered on the opposite side where the window handle is located.
- The control mechanism is also placed on the same side.
Notes:
- The color you see on your screen may differ slightly from the actual fabric color.
