As he walks through the empty city, he encounters a crying girl, whom he approaches and rescues from the unwanted attention of an intrusive gentleman. The two agree to meet again the following night at the same spot, and as they begin to share their life stories, the young man cannot help but fall in love with his new acquaintance.
