Description & Specifications

For twelve thousand years the Galactic Empire has been the pinnacle of human civilization. However, its time of glory has now passed. Only Hari Seldon, a visionary scientist and the father of the science known as psychohistory, knows what the future holds - an era of darkness, barbarism, and warfare that will last for thirty millennia.

In his desperate attempt to pass on knowledge to future generations and save humanity, Seldon gathers the leading scientists and thinkers of the Empire around him and relocates them to a planet on the edge of the galaxy, a world destined to become a cradle of civilization and a beacon of hope for generations to come. This refuge is named Foundation.

Soon, the Foundation falls prey to corrupt warlords emerging from the ruins of the Empire. The inevitable dilemma for the last defenders of human civilization is to either submit to the barbarians and live as slaves - or choose freedom, a decision that might lead both themselves and all of humanity to total destruction...

Isaac Asimov’s monumental work, which shaped the evolution of an entire species, was honored with the Hugo Award as the greatest science fiction series of all time and rightfully earned its place among the masterpieces of modern literature.
