This illustrated book contains countless stories within its pages, waiting to be discovered, all dependent on our imagination. Each page reveals a new location, from apartment buildings to farms and even the town square. The characters' lives always include something interesting; many of them reappear, and their adventures can be followed not only in this book but also in the other three volumes of the collection.
The situations depicted vary with each season; in this one, we see children running around, playing with a ball—activities typical for a joyful springtime. Fresh flowers decorate the houses, and the garden market brings the town square to life. There are no more delightful moments than when a child, leaning over the illustrated book with eager curiosity, explores the pictures, discovering many familiar things but also many new ones each time.
The author has successfully illustrated many charming and fun moments on pages rich in detail. Currently, author Rotraut Susanne Berner is one of the most well-known illustrators of children's books.
