The TS Optics N 203/800 Carbon Photon Newtonian telescope has an aperture of 203 mm and a focal length of 800 mm, making it suitable for astrophotography with shorter exposure times compared with systems with longer focal lengths. With an optional coma corrector, it can be used as an astrograph, while its Newtonian design produces images free of chromatic aberration. It is also suitable for visual observation of nebulae and galaxies.

The carbon-fibre tube is lightweight and stable, with low thermal expansion, helping keep the focus steady throughout the night. The extendable dew shield is also made of carbon fibre, while the inside of the tube is lined with black felt and Berger anti-reflective paint, which attracts less dust. The built-in fan helps the telescope cool quickly to the ambient temperature.
