The book Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Sports highlights new areas of innovation within the interdisciplinary field of quality of life services, which can serve as tools for sustainable entrepreneurship as well as for a modern national development model. It also proposes pathways for business sustainability and scientific research within the ecosystems of quality of life services, considering environmental and social outcomes based on environmental and social performance standards.

The book provides: a) strategic directions for public policy authorities and academic and research institutions, with an emphasis on sports, which serves as a means of promoting social inclusion, cooperation, and resilience, and b) suggests the use of digital technologies to expand access, inclusion, and reduce environmental impacts, outlining investment opportunities, ways of sustainable public governance, and financial tools for the development of sustainable infrastructure in the sports sector.

Finally, the work of the Laboratory of Quality of Life Service Management at the University of Peloponnese is presented, with an emphasis on its activities over the last decade and its contribution to innovative ideas in entrepreneurship as well as in the public administration of sports. It also mentions the gambling industry, which is active within the wellness and sports services framework, and proposes the reconsideration of the regulatory framework and the establishment of an observatory for gambling to examine the sector's fiscal contribution alongside its social impact.
