The beekeeping tradition of Chalkidiki has a history spanning many generations. The Apis Mellifera bees have evolved into the well-known Chalkidikian breed, productive and cooperative. These bees are gentle even in their sting, creating a unique product.

Since the 1930s, the Yanarades family has been involved in beekeeping in Vrastama, Chalkidiki. They relied on the tradition of beekeepers and advanced to modern practices, applying the rules of Organic Beekeeping.

The bee selects from the flower-rich organic farms and forests, collecting nectar from various sources. This variety of vegetation can affect the quality and quantity of honey, as well as the appearance of seasonal shortages in specific varieties. All products come from apiaries that apply organic methods without artificial feeds or antibiotics.
