The Bohrcraft drill with an MT2 Morse taper shank is designed for drilling metal and is made of HSS in accordance with DIN 345, type N. It has a right-hand cutting direction, a helix angle of 20–30°, and an h8 diameter tolerance. It is suitable for unalloyed and alloy steels, cast steel components with a strength of 800 N/mm², heat-treated steels with a strength of 1100 N/mm², non-ferrous materials such as aluminium alloys, copper and brass, as well as plastics.

The cutting edge is ground in accordance with DIN 1412, type A. The drill is roll-formed or milled, heat-treated and has a blue finish, while the flutes and taper shank are ground. It is used with drills and stationary equipment.
