Bohrcraft drill bits are short, cylindrical metal drills with a 118° point angle and DIN 338 specification, Type N. They are made of HSS-G, machined and ground, and titanium-coated. They cut clockwise, with a helix angle of 20–30° and a diameter tolerance of h8.

For diameters of 2 mm and above, they feature additional grinding on the bearing surface and a reduced web, in accordance with DIN 1412 C, for easier cutting, reduced cutting force and faster drilling. They are designed for unalloyed and low-alloy steels with Rm ≤ 800 N/mm², heat-treated steels with Rm ≤ 1100 N/mm², cast iron, non-ferrous materials such as copper alloys and bronzes, as well as plastics. They are recommended for use with drills and stationary equipment, while use with portable electric or pneumatic drills is intended for occasional applications.
