Description

Description

  • 8× Gigabit Ethernet
  • PoE 802.3af/at output
  • 2× 10G SFP+ uplink ports
  • 24–57 V DC input
  • Built-in smart battery charger
  • Total PoE output 120 W
  • Built-in UPS switching
  • Temperature sensor included

Power outages should not mean downtime. The netPower Lite 8P provides reliable Power-over-Ethernet even when the network goes down. The built-in UPS and smart charger work with your external 24 V battery and can provide high-voltage PoE output even from low-voltage DC sources, making netPower ideal for CCTV, offices, apartment buildings, and smart city installations.

The netPower Lite 8P features eight Gigabit Ethernet ports with 802.3af/at PoE output, as well as two uplink 10G SFP+ ports for high-speed backhaul. It runs SwOS Lite – fast, efficient, and refreshingly simple to manage. The power input is flexible: just supply 24–57 V DC to the 2-pin terminal.

Like our other devices suitable for outdoor use, this switch is built to last. With an operating range from –40 °C to +70 °C, the netPower Lite 8P continues to perform where many devices would have already failed. The switch can consume up to 181 W in total, with a PoE output budget of 120 W. When the incoming power is limited, PoE has automatic priority – charging slows down first to keep your essential devices connected.

Built-in UPS Support:

Efficient, reliable, gives you options

Connect a nominal 24 V battery – usually two 12 V units in series – and the switch instantly becomes a small, efficient UPS. During a power outage, PoE devices remain online without interruptions.

The charger supports flooded lead-acid, AGM, and gel-based batteries, as well as LiFePO₄ (lithium iron phosphate) batteries with an appropriate BMS. The charger subsystem is designed to charge batteries via the 2-pin header at a current range of 0.2-1.6 A and a voltage range of 20 to 31.7 V.

Charging is done intelligently in three stages:

Includes a temperature sensor that precisely regulates the voltage for lead-acid batteries and blocks charging when temperatures fall outside a safe range. This helps extend the battery life.

Alarm input: connect a simple 2-wire contact for intrusion detection and the device will immediately report it to SwOS Lite and via SNMP. You can connect it to a RouterOS device for additional automation or activation of creative scenarios.

Typical deployment: powering cameras and wireless backhaul from a single switch with UPS capability for zero downtime in the long term

Ideal for WISP, CCTV, apartments, utilities, and smart city networks

Whenever uptime matters (and the budget!), the netPower Lite 8P offers you a clean, reliable, and scalable solution. You get PoE, backup power, smart monitoring, and robust outdoor performance in a compact device.

So, if you value every watt and every second of uptime, the netPower Lite 8P is ready to keep you connected... even when the lights go out.
