Description & Specifications

The Concept-Xe from Arai is a full-face helmet that protects the entire head and jaw. For this reason, this type of helmet is considered the safest and most durable for both travel and city rides.

The outer shell of the Concept-X uses a construction with peripheral belts e-Complex Laminate Construction (PB e-cLc) for lightweight strength- it is designed to deflect and distribute impact forces. New materials have been used to replace the AR-mat as the middle layer, resulting in significant weight reduction while maintaining the same strength as the PB-cLc construction.


Glancing Off

To minimize the impact energy entering the helmet, it is vital that the helmet can slide over a surface. Arai believes that a strong, round, and smooth shell helps increase the helmet's ability to protect the rider during an impact. A shell with sharp edges or vents that do not break can reduce the helmet's ability to slide, or even enhance rotational energy.

Ventilation Concept-XE

The sleek outer shell of the Concept-XE hides a secret: Arai's internal ventilation system. Cooling air is fed into the vents at the forehead of the visor and drawn through the comfort liner and three exhaust holes at the top of the crown, via a hidden multi-stage air channel within the EPS liner, by the negative pressure created by the combined Venturi effect of the side exhaust ports and the neck vent. At the front, the six mesh slots close to remove moisture and open for airflow.

Free Flow System (FFS)

Creates airflow under the helmet that reduces wind noise and turbulence, while increasing the extraction of warm air.

Hidden multi-stage air channel

Allows the extraction of warm air from the helmet through 3 holes in the EPS lining at the Twin Venturi exhaust ports.

Brow Vents

Fresh air can enter directly into the forehead area without the need for holes in this critical area of the shell and shock-absorbing liner. For specific models, the ventilation extends to the temple area.

Internal Vent Shutter

Open and close the chin bar vents from the inside to prevent debris from entering the helmet in dusty riding conditions.

Neck Exhaust Ventilation

For enhancing the extraction of warm air from the interior. Increases the ventilation effect at the bottom of the helmet.
