Advanced EVO 5 AMT Tweeter & Silentweave™ Absorption

The Wharfedale EVO 5.2 features the latest generation of Air Motion Transformer (AMT) tweeter, delivering outstanding precision and low distortion. Its pleated diaphragm moves four times more air than traditional dome tweeters. The addition of special Silentweave™ material (made from cotton and felt fibres) to the rear cavity absorbs internal reflections, ensuring clear, natural sound without harsh peaks.

ResoFrame™ & Resoseal™ Acoustic Damping

All driver units feature a ResoFrame™ elastomer damping frame that reduces mechanical resonance. Meanwhile, Resoseal™ technology applies an elastomer ring to the back of the cone, optimizing midrange response. This allows vocals to sound richer, more natural, and more expressive.

Upgraded Cabinet & Hybrid Foot

The EVO 5.2 cabinet features increased internal volume for deeper bass extension and improved sound dispersion. The hybrid plinth combines metal and wood elements, enhancing structural rigidity and eliminating unwanted vibrations so the sound remains clear and unaffected by external factors.

    Vocals sound natural and full-bodied. I listen at low volume, and they produce powerful, controlled sound that is quite deep for speakers of this size. What I particularly liked is the sense of stereo imaging. With proper placement, and using the speakers behind the TV for support, the music really «opens up» in the room, and you often forget that you’re listening to two speakers. You feel as if you have the instruments in your living room.
