Model Figures: Cruiser Mk III (World of Tanks)
The Cruiser Mk III was developed with the extensive upgrade of two M1931 Christie tank prototypes, purchased by the British Army in 1936. The vehicle was designed as a fast, lightly armored breakthrough tank. The modified design proved successful and became the basis for other cruiser tanks. Sixty-five vehicles of this type were built, participating in battles in France and North Africa in 1940 and 1941.
Product Description: The models consist of many small parts, which may be dangerous for children under 14 years old. Prototype History: The British Army began preparing for the inevitable war in the early 1930s. The industry was shifting to a military base, while engineers sought advanced solutions for military equipment. The American designer D. W. Christie created a chassis with four full-size rubber wheels, supported by springs and two drive gears. This invention was so successful that it spawned many generations of tanks. One of the first was the "Cruiser Mark III," which had a top speed of up to 50 km/h on hard roads, the ability to overcome obstacles up to 0.6 m, and a powerful main gun - a 40 mm “QF 2 pounder” anti-tank gun, supplemented with a heavy 7.7 mm “Vickers” machine gun.
