Model figure P 26/40 (World of Tanks)
The development of this vehicle began in late 1940, but due to difficulties in finding a suitable engine, the first prototype was built only in early 1942. Mass production started in 1943 in Turin. After Italy's capitulation in the fall of 1943, the tank entered service under the name Panzerkampfwagen P40 737(i) and was used by the German reserve units as permanent artillery positions. A total of 100 vehicles were delivered.
The construction of the model includes many small parts, which may be dangerous for children under 14 years old. Assembly of the model by children under 14 should be done under parental supervision. The models promote technical creativity and inspire research into the history of science and technology. The models do not require glue or adhesives. Each part is removed from the sheet and then firmly connected.
Prototype history: In the history of World War II, there are tanks considered "unlucky". Some were ahead of their time, others were hopelessly behind. One of these vehicles was the Italian heavy tank "P 26/40". Promising development was delayed for years due to technological problems, resulting in this tank not achieving mass production and not influencing battlefields. The "P 26/40" was one of the last tanks with riveted armored structures in its category, differing from the Soviet T-34 which features cast and welded parts.
