Engraving instructions
Text engraving
- Select the engraving option you want.
- Choose a font from the 4 available options. You can see samples of the fonts in the photo. If you want your text in all capital letters, avoid the 4th font, as it may be difficult to read. Enter the text you want engraved in the “Engraving Text” field, e.g. Front: Maria + George, Back: 11/08/22.
- You can add a small heart, an infinity symbol, a musical note, or an emoticon alongside the text.
Engraving a custom design, handwriting, or photo
- Upload your design or photo by clicking “Upload file.” If you want a design engraved on the other side as well, upload it by clicking “Upload file” under “Design for Second Side.”
- We engrave the design exactly as submitted (jpeg, jpg, png, or pdf file), so the higher the resolution, the better the result.
- If you’re submitting a photo with faces, make sure the faces are well lit and not obscured by shadows or hair.
- Designs are laser engraved and appear dark. They are not engraved in color.
- Engraving takes 3–5 business days, depending on workload.
- Engraved items cannot be returned or exchanged.
What is stainless steel?
Steel is an alloy of iron and carbon. Stainless steel is a special category of steel that contains higher proportions of other metals. Steel has become increasingly popular in recent years because it offers several advantages.
