The distilleries of JURA were established in 1810 on the small island of Jura near the coast of Scotland, and since then they have been producing exquisite single malts, internationally awarded many times.
The main influence on the flavors and aromas of the single malts comes from the cask in which they were aged. What differentiates them is "the taste of their homeland," which starts from the water used, the local weather, and the atmospheric conditions. The exceptionally mild climate of Jura with its gentle sea breezes offers ideal maturation conditions for the single malts, and this is proven by all Isle of Jura single Malts.
