The JURA distilleries were established in 1810 on the small island of Jura near the coast of Scotland, and since then until today they have been producing exquisite single malts, internationally awarded many times.
The main influence on the flavors and aromas of single malts comes from the barrel in which they were aged. However, their difference stems from "the taste of their homeland," which starts from the water used, the local weather, and atmospheric conditions. The exceptionally mild climate of Jura with its gentle sea breezes offers ideal conditions for the maturation of single malts, something that is proven with all the Isle of Jura single Malts.
